Description- The prevalence of drug-impaired/unfit employees in the workplace is a growing concern for employers. Identifying Impairment Indicators is an awareness course that provides instruction on the signs and symptoms of workplace drug impairment, methods of ingestion, and medical mimics. This course will equip managers with the skills to recognize and document an impaired employee.

Course type and length – In-person 5 days
Description- Workplace Impairment Recognition Expert (WIRE) certification will assist employers with the growing problem of drug-impaired employees in the workplace. This training certification will provide supervisors with a systematic approach to evaluating employees in the workplace environment who are impaired by drugs/alcohol. More often employers are required to provide additional documentation and physical assessments of employees when requiring a drug test. A certified WIRE supervisor will be able to assess an impaired employee. The WIRE training certification will enable supervisors to determine if an employee is impaired. By providing training to supervisory staff, WIRE certification enables employers to detect drug-impaired employees in the workplace, subsequently reducing the number of impaired individuals in the workplace.
Workplace Impairment Recognition Expert (WIRE) uses the latest information from national resources combined with the experience of qualified instructors. This course includes five days of instruction where students will participate in hands-on exercises. All training materials and equipment are provided.
